Welcome to the Environmental Finance Blog. The purpose of the blog is to support communities interested in sustainable and innovative financing mechanisms for delivering environmental services such as clean water and energy /waste management. Bloggers include staff of the Environmental Finance Center (EFC) at UNC Chapel Hill, other environmental finance experts, faculty from the wider university as well as utility managers from communities where we work.
Do you have environmental finance story or idea you want to share? Some background on a story we’ve published? Let us know! Send an email to Lexi Kay at firstname.lastname@example.org.
About the EFC:
We work to enhance the ability of governments and other organizations to provide environmental programs and services in fair, effective and financially sustainable ways.
The EFC reaches local communities through the delivery of interactive applied training programs and technical assistance. In addition to direct community outreach, the EFC works with decision makers to assess the effectiveness of environmental finance policies at a regional or state level, and to improve those policies as a way of supporting local efforts.
