Welcome to the Environmental Finance Blog. The purpose of the blog is to support communities interested in sustainable and innovative financing mechanisms for delivering environmental services such as drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, clean energy, and waste management.

Bloggers include staff and students of the Environmental Finance Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (EFC at UNC),  other environmental finance experts, faculty from the wider university, as well as utility managers from communities where we work.

Do you have environmental finance story or idea you want to share? Some background on a story we’ve published? Let us know! Send an email to Susan Robinson at srobinson@sog.unc.edu.

About the EFC at UNC:

We work to enhance the ability of governments and other organizations to provide environmental programs and services in fair, effective, and financially sustainable ways.

The EFC at UNC reaches local communities through the delivery of interactive applied training programs and technical assistance. In addition to direct community outreach, the EFC at UNC works with decision makers to assess the effectiveness of environmental finance policies at a regional or state level, and to improve those policies as a way of supporting local efforts.
